The UC San Diego Data Mining Contest is an academic contest designed
for students.
Eligibility:
- All current undergraduate students, graduate students, and postdoctoral researchers studying full-time, in residence at an accredited university or college may compete for prizes.
- Anyone working on behalf of a company is strictly prohibited from competing. Please respect the academic nature of this contest.
- Persons connected with the contest organization may not participate.
Teams:
- Participants are encouraged to work in teams of up to four people.
- Undergraduate teams must consist entirely of undergraduates. You are considered an undergraduate if you were an undergraduate at the start date of this contest, or if you have graduated in the Spring of 2009.
- Graduate/Postdoctoral teams must consist entirely of undergraduate students, graduate students or postdoctoral researchers.
- Any prize money will be distributed evenly among the list of
team members given in the registration.
