Welcome to the 2008 UCSD Data Mining Contest
sponsored by Fair Isaac.
The UC Data Mining Contest offers students a chance to test their data mining skill on a real-world data set.
All undergraduate students, graduate students and post-doc researchers studying full-time, in residence at an accredited college or university may enter and compete for prizes.
Teams will compete to build a system that
correctly classifies data from a scientific experiment.
The winner of each contest/division will receive
prize money ($8000 purse) and, new this year, membership in the Academic Partner Program for Xpress-MP.
Success in the competition looks great on a resume (graduate admissions, jobs, fellowships).
Participating is easy, and we encourage everyone to try!
